Day 01 Arrival - Colombo

Private transfer to the Galle Face Hotel. Evening guided colonial walk through the Fort district and sunset at Galle Face Green. Overnight at Galle Face Hotel.

Day 02 Colombo to Sigiriya via Dambulla

Scenic drive to Sigiriya with an expert-guided Dambulla Cave Temple visit focusing on the artistic and iconographic programme of the painted murals across 22 centuries. Evening at leisure with curated dining. Overnight at Heritance Kandalama.

Day 03 Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa - Rock Fortress and Ancient Sculpture

Early morning Sigiriya climb with a storytelling guide approaching the site through its architectural and artistic ambition. Afternoon Polonnaruwa tour focused on the Gal Vihara sculptures, the Vatadage, and the visual logic of a medieval capital at its peak. Optional live painting or sketching session. Overnight at Heritance Kandalama.

Day 04 Kandalama to Trincomalee - East Coast

Drive to the east coast and check-in at a secluded beachfront resort. Afternoon at leisure or a visit to the Naval Museum. Sunset by the bay. Overnight in Trincomalee (seasonal, best May to September).

Day 05 Trincomalee - Koneswaram Temple, Fort, and Pigeon Island

Morning visit to Koneswaram Temple above the harbour and a walk through Fort Frederick’s colonial layers. Optional snorkelling at Pigeon Island. Private beach dining experience as the evening closes. Overnight in Trincomalee.

Day 06 Trincomalee to Kandy

Scenic drive to Kandy and check-in at a colonial-style boutique property. Evening visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic with a guide who explains the visual and devotional tradition of the complex in detail. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 07 Kandy - Botanical Gardens and Artisan Workshops

Morning Royal Botanical Gardens with attention to the architectural quality of the garden design. Afternoon at artisan workshops and local markets focused on traditional Kandyan craft production. Optional cultural performance. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 08 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya - Tea Estate and High Tea

Drive into the hill country and a planter-led estate tour with tasting. Evening high tea at a highland property with panoramic estate views. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 09 Nuwara Eliya to Ella by Scenic Train - Nine Arches

Scenic train from Nanu Oya to Ella through the most visually dramatic section of the highland railway. Afternoon Nine Arches Bridge visit. Optional relaxation painting or sketching at the lodge. Overnight at 98 Acres Resort and Spa.

Day 10 Ella to Haputale - Tea Valley Sunset

Leisurely morning in Ella then short scenic drive to Haputale. Sunset views across the tea valleys. Optional visit to Lipton’s Seat. Overnight in a boutique hill retreat.

Day 11 Haputale - Horton Plains and Baker's Falls

Early morning excursion to Horton Plains. Guided trek to World’s End and Baker’s Falls – the gorge and cloud forest provide the strongest landscape photography of the highland section. Return and relax. Overnight in Haputale.

Day 12 Haputale to Udawalawe - Wildlife Photography Safari

Drive to Udawalawe. Afternoon or evening safari with optional live painting or sketching capturing wildlife in the golden afternoon light. Overnight at an eco-lodge.

Day 13 Udawalawe to Hikkaduwa via Galle Fort

Drive to the south coast with a guided Galle Fort walk through the Dutch heritage buildings and artisan boutiques. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Hikkaduwa.

Day 14 Hikkaduwa to Colombo - Ariyapala Mask Museum

Scenic coastal drive to Colombo with en route visit to the Ariyapala Mask Museum in Ambalangoda. Optional cafe or shopping stop. Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
